Privacy
Spotter’s public site collects one thing: what you type into the contact form. This explains what happens to it, in plain terms.
What I collect
Only what you send me through the contact form — your name, your email address, and your message. Nothing else, and only when you choose to submit it.
The site also uses Vercel Analytics to count page visits — how many people land here, and roughly where from. It sets no cookie and can’t identify you: it counts a visit, not a visitor. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts of any kind, and nothing here builds a profile of you.
Why I collect it
To read your message and reply to it. That’s the whole purpose. I don’t use it for marketing lists, I don’t profile it, and I don’t sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Where it goes
The form emails your submission to me, and it is saved in Spotter’s own database — your name, your email, and your message, so a submission is never lost if the email doesn’t arrive. Only I can read it, from Spotter’s own operator console.
Three service providers are involved in getting it there, and only for that:
- Resend — delivers the email.
- Vercel — hosts the site and the database. If a delivery attempt fails, the record of that failure — that it failed, and why — is stored alongside your submission so I can still reach you. Your message is never written into that failure record twice, and never sent anywhere else.
- Sentry — if something breaks while handling your submission, the error is reported here so I notice and fix it. It may see your name and email so I can chase a lost message down — never the message itself.
How long I keep it
Your submission is kept for as long as the conversation is useful — I use it to track whether I’ve followed up, nothing more. Ask me to delete it and I will.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, have it erased, or object to my using it. Email me and I’ll do it — there is no process to go through.
